NUCLEAR MEAN-FIELD DESCRIPTION OF PROTON ELASTIC SCATTERING BY 12,13 C AT LOW ENERGIES

Nuclear reactions of proton by light nuclei at low energies play a key role in the study nucleosynthesis which is interest nuclear astrophysics. The most fundamental process very necessary elastic scattering. In this work, we construct microscopic proton-nucleus potential order to describe differential cross-sections over scattering angles \(^{12}\)C and \(^{13}\)C range available 14 - 22 MeV. optical based on folding model using effective nucleon-nucleon interaction CDM3Yn. results show promising use CDM3Yn interactions energies, were originally used for intermediate energies. This could be premise astrophysics

The diquark and elastic pion-proton scattering at high energies

Small momentum transfer elastic pion-proton cross-section at high energies is calculated assuming the proton is composed of two constituents, a quark and a diquark. We find that it is possible to fit very precisely the data when (i) the pion acts as a single entity (no constituent quark structure) and (ii) the diquark is rather large, comparable to the size of the proton.
